Visit Zimbabwe is an independent travel guide. You can use it without an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details.

What stays on your device

When you save places to My Trip or plan them by day, that list is kept in your own browser's storage on your device. It is not sent to us and is not linked to you. You can remove it at any time with “Clear all saved places” or by clearing your browser data.

If you use “Share trip link”, the link contains only the numbers of the places you saved and the days you chose. Anyone you send it to can open it. Nothing about the trip is stored on our servers.

The packing list remembers the destinations, month and items you tick in the same way, on your device only.

So that guides, itineraries and My Trip still open when you have no signal, your browser keeps copies of the pages and place details you open on your device. These copies are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data for this site removes them.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our security provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, which pages are popular, the country and type of device visitors use and which sites refer them. It works without cookies and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. We only see totals.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Fly.io and delivered through Cloudflare. Like any website, their systems process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.

Businesses and other websites

Listings link to businesses' own websites, phone numbers, email addresses and messaging apps. When you contact a business or visit another website, that business or website handles your information under its own privacy policy. Emails you write from “Email trip” are sent from your own email app, not by us.

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and to deal with your request, and keep it no longer than we need to.
